Data you can defend
When permits feed underwriting, lending, or compliance decisions, provenance matters as much as the data itself. Here is exactly how we source, handle, and license it.
01
Lawful sourcing
Every permit is sourced from an official municipal open-data program, under the open licence that program provides for reuse. We honour each source's terms and credit our sources.
02
Privacy aligned to PIPEDA
Permits are open public records. We handle them with privacy practices aligned to PIPEDA: data minimization, purpose limitation in our permitted-use terms, and a clear process for record-specific questions.
Informational, not legal advice. You remain responsible for compliant use; confirm your obligations with counsel.
03
Clear permitted-use terms
Your licence states plainly what you can and cannot do: where it can be used, whether it can be displayed or used only for analysis, and how attribution should appear. No ambiguity, no surprises at renewal.
04
Security and hosting
Canadian-built, hosted on reputable cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and monitored systems. Enterprise security details available during procurement.
05
Documented lineage
Source municipality and ingestion date on every record. Coverage is public. If a source changes or goes offline, we flag it rather than quietly serving stale data.
Bring your risk and legal teams.
We are happy to walk through sourcing, privacy, and permitted use with your compliance stakeholders before you commit.
